http://www.flame-jobs.co.uk/ are seeking a Senior Care Assistant to work 40 hours per week within a 16 bedded residential care home that provides care and accommodation for older adults. This home is based in Ashtead in Surrey. You must have at least 1 years supervisory experience and have had experience working with adults of old age Duties will include: Provide daily coaching and support tothe Care Managers Ensure residents are involved in appropriate activities, including: life skills, reminiscing, group activities Review the staff schedule: ensure appropriate staff coverage in the absence of thecare managers Prepare daily assignment sheets as directed by the reminiscence coordinator, contact alternate team members as needed to fill any staffing voids in the schedule Thoroughly check all Medication Administration Records (MAR's) on a daily basis to ensure that all medications and treatments have been signed Monitor the Individualised Service Plan to ensure completion of tasks including hydration and specific life skills activities Ensure a pleasant dining experience for the residents of the home: noise level, appropriate assistance is given, timely service Through role-modelling, lead the care managers in the philosophy of "creating pleasant days" for residents Ensure emergency procedures are followed as necessary Read the Daily Log when first reporting to work Review the Individualised Service Plan in the Resident Services Book Answer all Help and Call Bells promptly and take appropriate action Car Driver would be an advantage but no essential Must be able to work on a 2 week rolling rota basis which may include some evenings/weekends If you are interested in this position please send your CV to angela.simmonds@flameemployment.com or call 01923 216141
