We are seeking a Registered Home Manager, with a nursing qualification, to manage the day to day running of a 12 bedded home that offers care to older adults with learning disabilities. The home is based in New Milton, Hampshire, and will be extended to accommodate up to 20 people in the next year. Successful applicants must possess the following skills: - At least 2 years management or supervisory experience, within a nursing home for older adults with learning disabilities - Must have a Professional Nursing Qualification.. - Also desirable - Registered Managers Award or Diploma in Management - A sound knowledge of National Care Standards and Health and Safety Legislation - A good understanding of CSCI. - A committed and flexible individual with a warm and friendly personality. You will be committed to the care and development of each of the residents and will carry out the following responsibilities: - To provide professional management of care service in order to ensure the staff team are able to deliver quality care and maintain the health and welfare of service users. - Organise and manage day-to-day operations, along with a proactive approach to maintaining standards and occupancy levels. - Management of a full team of staff, including rota preparation, carrying out staff appraisals. - To resource, recruit and retain appropriate staffing levels and skill mix to ensure the smooth running of the home.
