Accounts Assistant This role has become available for our prestigious client based in Salford Quays. What is the purpose of the job: To ensure that the month end balance can be explained at month end and formally reconciled to an independent source of data. Take action to clear any outstanding items to keep the ageing of queries within the minimum standard for the account. What do you have to achieve? Timely and accurate production of relevant accounts and reconciliations. Analysis and investigation of account variances. Reconcile GL postings to allocated accounts and produce reconciliation schedules. Provide supporting documentation of non reconciling items. Compliance with KPI package and SLAs Understand clearly all business transactions and business systems which affect the accounts. What technical knowledge / skills do you need? Excellent Excel skills Good communication skills Preferred Fully qualified AAT/CIMA Foundation or studying Foundation/Certificate Good exam pass rate Ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritise workload Some experience of reconciliations between a general ledger and system interfaces.
