Flame Employment's Specialist Social Care and Nursing Division are seeking a Regional Co-ordinator to run an innovative, far-reaching Volunteer and Employment Project for a large well-established charitable organisation, based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. This is a 6 month contract position.
The project will enable 120 volunteers to support 120 people with learning disabilities in experiencing work placements, accredited training and preparing interactive CVs.
You will have the crucial role of developing, co-ordinating and managing the one-to-one project in your area. This will involve working with local community and organisations, including those in minority ethnic communities, to identify volunteering and employment opportunities.
The ideal candidate requires strong experience of working with people with learning disabilities, experience working with volunteers/community groups, and management experience in a community setting. Candidates will also ideally have knowledge of challenges faced by people in minority ethnic communities.
