Flame Employment's Specialist Social Care and Nursing Division are looking to recruit a Service Manager/Operations Manager to provide leadership and overall management of services and staff for people with learning disabilities. You will be responsible for 8 registered care homes, each with 5 or 6 service users, a staffing establishment of approximately 70 and a budget of £3 million.
The services are dedicated to making a significant contribution to the improvement of the lifestyles of people with learning disabilities in line with the rights-based vision offered by the White Paper ‘Valuing People' A New Strategy for Learning Disability for the 21st Century.
You will contribute to and support the implementation of the Regional Business Plan and will work to ensure each service user has the right to exercise control over their own lives, taking into account their views and those of family members at all times.

Requirements for this position include:
- At least 3 years working experience with people with a learning disability in a community and residential setting
- A thorough understanding of the issues which face people with a learning disability, including a working knowledge of the Care Standards Act 2000 and Domiciliary Care Regulations
- Must hold NVQ Level 4 or equivalent
- Proven skills in budget management, quality assurance, supervision and team building
- Proven leadership ability with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Car driver essential
